D.C., Cleveland Chiropractic College
Dr. McKenzie enjoys working with chiropractic neurology.
Dr. McKenzie obtained his chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in October 1969. Following graduation, he worked the first seven years in practice in Kansas City with his father. In 1976, he and his family moved to the Holton, Kan., area where he opened a practice and spent the next 41 years. In 2014, McKenzie had the opportunity to go to Spain and work as a clinician in the outpatient clinic at the Madrid Chiropractic College. He did that four times over the course of the next two years, and as a result, he developed a love of supervising student doctors in the clinical environment. In September 2017, McKenzie took the position of clinical educator in the Cleveland University-Kansas City (CUKC) student clinic. During his career, he has held positions as officer and director in the Kansas Chiropractic Association, and has served as both a delegate and an alternate delegate to the American Chiropractic Association. McKenzie has served on the Board of Governors for CUKC, and as a director and an officer in the Association for the History of Chiropractic. He currently serves as a member of the Chiropractic Review Committee for the Kansas Board of Healing Arts, and is a member and past chairman of the High Country Chiropractic Knights of the Round Table. McKenzie resides in Overland Park, Kan., during the week, and returns to Holton to spend weekends with his wife Cathy. They have one daughter and two grandsons.
